One of our local op-shops is a Retro Vintage specialty Vinnies and we always have so much fun going and playing with all the cool costumes. Zen, with his hat love, has a blast trying on a million different looks and then playing for the longest time in character before he moves onto the next one.
Who knew going shopping could inspire so much imaginative play?

We are a pretty serious op-shop family. We love op shops because it supports a charity but MOSTLY we love op-shopping because it’s such a cheap way to get lots of unique and vintage things that are not owned by every other person you see. Kids clothes especially are the best. I can often find really lovely, unique and sometimes handmade clothes in excellent condition for just a fraction of the price I’d pay in a store. Seems like such a win-win to me.
Zen is a super shopper. He loves all the random toys and books and is so happy to spend an afternoon filtering through stores and finding little treasures. Plus, the money we save on clothes we can go spend on baby-cinno’s and biccies. It’s so nice to be able to turn any mundane task, like clothes shopping, into a fun little family adventure.
